Podcast: Play in new window

That’s right, we have finally put together our very first episode of the talkingDigital podcast. It has taken years to get to this point, but we are very picky and wanted to do it right.

The show needs a lot of polish that comes naturally as podcasts grow, but we hope to see episode 100 and even 1000 someday.

This premier episode of the talkingDigital podcast is a simple intro to Adam Cochran and to what talkingDigital is all about. We hope to have at least one new episode per month, but we also don’t want to set ourselves up for a disappointing podfade (when podcasters get tired and stop doing the show as often).

Please tell others about the podcast. We will probably do three to five episodes before listing on iTunes and other podcast indexes. In the meantime, subscribe via the RSS and enjoy each new episode.

In a world full of hate and controversy. Our nation is divided between so many opinions and points of view. If only there were a cause that every man, woman and child could unite behind to bring this sorry world together.

This man just may have the answer to world peace and harmony. Imagine tangle-proof earbuds. Why is Lennon not around to see this epic moment in mankind’s history?

Amazon Spindle

UPDATE: I missed the part of the story where the author in wired mentioned that this was a hypothetical piece of equipment. Nevertheless, my commentary still applies.

Earlier this week Apple announced the new iPod Shuffle. A device that could only be worse if it was made by Coby.

Wired is reporting that Amazon is looking to get into the game with a new type of device called the Spindle. While the images look like mock-ups, the concept may just work. Amazon’s music store may not have as rich of a catalog as iTunes, but its versatility makes it superior in many ways.

If Amazon can find a way to add the Spindle to the Kindle’s 3G network for music downloads, Apple may have a real fight on their hands. Especially if their innovative products continue to almost dare their beloved followers to prove their loyalty.

The Macbook Air, iPod Shuffle, and iPhone’s lack of background process are just a few examples of how Apple may become like Palm in the future. By releasing devcies that are just innovative enough to give competitors an idea of how to improve upon the concept and release a superior product.
